Office Changes Amid COVID-19

Dear patients of Ingham Nephrology & Hypertension,

As you are all aware, actions around the COVID-19 pandemic have continued to change rapidly. We will continue to closely monitor developments and take extra measures to maintain the highest standard of patient safety, care, and concern. Our office will remain open, with the following changes effective immediately:

Appointments

  • When coming to your appointment please come alone. If you require assistance, please limit your appointment to yourself and one additional person.
  • If you have travelled in the past 14 days, are experiencing a fever, dry cough, respiratory illness of any kind or have known or suspected exposure to COVID-19, please call to reschedule your appointment.
  • We are spacing out appointments to limit traffic in our lobby to maintain safe social distancing.
  • Please be patient if we need to reschedule your appointment.

Medications

  • Sample medications may be picked up through curbside assistance. Please call ahead to arrange pickup.
  • All prescriptions will be completed electronically.
  • For the rare exception, paper prescriptions will be mailed or may be available for pick up through curbside assistance. Please call for more information.

Other Information

  • Do not come to our office for suspected COVID-19 testing. We are not currently testing at our locations.
  • Please note that if any Ingham Nephrology staff or physicians have flu- or cold-like symptoms, they have been instructed to stay home.
  • As always, we will work to maintain the highest level of sanitation and cleanliness in our office. Extra measures are being taken to sanitize all surfaces between patients.

We will do our best to accommodate our patients in this extraordinary time. Please be patient with us as we navigate these necessary changes to ensure our patients and the Ingham Nephrology & Hypertension team stay safe. By working together in this time of uncertainty, we hope to manage this pandemic and protect our community!

We will continue to notify you as any other changes in our office hours, events, and scheduling occur. We are thankful for your understanding and flexibility during this uncertain time.

For further information we recommend the CDC, WHO, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as resources.

Best regards,

The Ingham Nephrology & Hypertension team
