Brenda Poland, NP-C

Brenda graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1996. Over the next nine years, Brenda worked as a registered nurse caring for critically ill patients in various settings, though mostly in the intensive care units at McLaren Greater Lansing.

Upon completion of her master’s degree in nursing from University of Michigan in 2005, Brenda joined the nephrology practice of Dr. Michael Hourani, MD, PC, as a nurse practitioner. Brenda is a certified nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, as well as a licensed nurse practitioner and licensed registered nurse with the state of Michigan.

Since coming to the practice in 2005, Brenda’s focus has been supporting and improving the lives of dialysis-dependent patients through thorough, thoughtful medical management.Brenda has many hobbies and interests including watching MSU sports. Yet her greatest joy is her family. Her children are very involved in various extracurricular activities which keep her busy as well.
